Tays Special Events Center on the New Mexico State University campus in Alamogordo, NM.
The forum will explain the positive economic impacts on the region from having a National Monument.
Please attend this important informational meeting.
As you know, the vastness of the Otero Mesa grasslands is on a list of possible National Monument sites in the west. Doubts, questions and some mis-information about the benefits of having a nearby National Monument, expressed by some Otero County officials, have prompted proponents of protecting the Mesa to organize an Economic Forum to explain the positive economic impacts on the region from having a National Monument. Businessmen and civic leaders from across the west will talk about their experiences with National Monuments, The Keynote Speaker is Senator Steve Fischmann.
